Our Story
Lagoon Ember started as a single workbench in a Tokyo apartment, restoring furniture that neighbors were ready to throw away. Over more than a decade it grew into a dedicated home workshop, combining traditional joinery with hands-on metalworking to repair, rebuild, and design furniture meant to last for generations.
Our Philosophy
We believe furniture should be repaired, not replaced. Every project at Lagoon Ember is approached with the same standard: solid joinery, honest materials, and finishes that respect the character of the original piece — or, for new builds, the intent behind the design.
The Workshop
Based in Nishi-Shinjuku, our workshop houses both woodworking and metalworking stations, allowing every stage of restoration and fabrication to happen under one roof, from disassembly to final finish.
